Upon release of her latest single, “Already Gone,” Kelly Clarkson is being accused of copying the song after Beyonce’s “Halo.” But Clarkson stated she wrote the song long ago, long before “Halo” was ever released. Even so, when she heard “Halo,” she tried to stop her record label from releasing the song as a single - to no avail. But now, it’s coming out that Beyonce heard “Already Gone,” had “Halo” written and rushed to get it released first. Them’s fightin’ words. It seems Kelly’s trying to take the high road in the conflict. Wonder if you’ll even hear her perform the song in concert.
As per usual, Avril Lavigne has been spotted partying hard and messy without her husband, Sum 41 singer Derek Whibley. It’s now been reported that the washed-up poppy punk singer will release another album this November 17. It’s hard to believe she has any time to work with all that clubbing. The album undoubtedly be borderline disastrous.
After training for a year (oh dear Lord, really?), Katie Holmes finally performed her version of “Get Happy” on So You Think You Can Dance? The verdict’s in, and no one thinks Katie can dance. In fact, people were literally shocked at how bad it was for someone who’s been training for so long. Look at what people on these shows, like Dancing With the Stars, can learn in a week. Maybe now she’ll just go back to acting. Oh, wait, she can’t do that, either.
That was fast - or was it overdue? Leann Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet have separated. Um, duh, Dean. Maybe you reacted quickly to last week’s events, but this was a long time coming.
Jude Law is in trouble - big trouble - if this is true. He allegedly hit a female paparazzo, Harsha Gopal, in a group of the photogs clamoring for pictures and answers to their questions. Now, they’ve got evidence of the hand-to-face contact since everyone has a camera, but now we’ll see what the circumstances were - hope it was an accident!
